sleep is overrated.

So, I have to apologize! Things have been crazy and this hasn't been updated in FOREVER! Thankfully, I have a mother who reminds me to update this or it would probably never get done!!!! :)

Update on the illness: Hmmm, I'd like to think I'm getting better. My kids are all getting sick, so I'm really worried about getting sick again. At the mome
nt, I have a little bit of a scratchy throat and a stuffy nose, but hopefully some Nyquil those things will clear up! :) My cough is almost gone. There are still little traces of it every once in awhile - especially if I talk a lot...which we all know tends to happen.

Fall Break(s): Oh praise the Lord it's coming up, because I definitely need a break. The weekends just aren't long enough! This coming Friday (the 17th) I have the day off for Ball State's fall break. I'm heading over to St. Louis to see my bestest friend Kristen for the weekend! I can't wait!!! Then the following week, I get my school's fall break on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. I'm headed up to the Fort and I can't wait. I haven't been up there since Labor Day, so it'll be a nice change of pace. I plan on spending my time with the family and just lounging.

Parent Teacher Conferences: One word - YIKES! I get to participate in parent teacher conferences this semester. I am so anxious, nervous, excited for these. These will take place of the Monday and Tuesday before my fall break. Since I am an intern, I am expected to be there, however the parents have to give permission for me to sit in on their child's conference. I'm extremely excited to see how these conference will pan out. We had to do "mock conferences" in one of my classes last year, but it is totally difference when there is an actual parent involved. I'll definitely keep you all posted on how they go!

Boo for Construction: I don't know if any of you are aware of the amazing "Accelerate 465" project that is going on down here, but let me just tell you how much I love it - NOT! I apologize in advance, but I am just going to whine for a few minutes. They've been working on our exit since we moved here. They are making fairly decent progress on it, but now it has moved south more, which means that I now have to drive through construction on my way to school too! Most of the time it's not even the construction that's the problem either. It's the people driving in the construction - it's like they've never seen barrels and construction equipment. Oh well, enjoy the pictures of the lovely mess surrounding my apartment.

Side note: I'm sad to report, but I won't be able to post any pictures of my student on here. I can take all the pictures I want, but apparently there are certain stipulations of what I can and can't post on a personal blog. So, if you want to see picture let me know - we can grab coffee and I can tell you all about them!

Hmmmm, well seeing as how it's almost 1 AM, I suppose I should think about going to bed.
I hope you all have a great week!

Love ya!
