we share a mutual weirdness :)

Yay for Valentine's Day! Talk about a good boyfriend - I woke up to chocolate on my nightstand! :)

Tyler and I headed down to Indianapolis on Saturday afternoon to celebrate. The drive down was great - full of singing, talking, joking, laughing, and all that good stuff. However, that laughing stopped once we pulled into the mall parking lot at Keystone and we saw the line to go to the Cheesecake Factory, which is where we were planning on going. Now, I'm sure many of you [at least the women] are thinking "Man, Tyler should have made reservations!" Luckily for him, they don't take reservations so he's off the hook! :)

We pulled into the parking lot and luckily found a parking spot right away. We walk up to the Cheesecake Factory to find that the line just keeps growing. Now let me tell you, this line is just to put your name on the list. As we're standing in this line, we continue to contemplate whether waiting in this line is worth it or not - which it totally is! The line moved fairly quickly - it took us about 30 minutes to get to the front and put our names in. But, that was just the beginning. They said it would be another 2 to 2 1/2 hours before there was a table ready. And get this - they ran out of their pagers. AHHH! Talk about hectic. I'm SO glad I wasn't working there! They told us to come back up in about 90 minutes to check and see if they had any pagers yet. Now what does any girl want to do at a mall for 90 minutes?! SHOP! Tyler and I roamed all around the mall killing time. We went into Tiffany's and looked at some AMAZING jewelry. After that, we went into Sak's Fifth Avenue and played a little game called "Guess the Price!" :) We actually found a dress that was $6,100. YIKES!!!!!! By this time, it was time for us to go check in at the restaurant. As we literally shoved our way in, we realize that the restaurant is getting even more packed. We talked to the hostess and she said they were still out of pagers and needed to come back in about 20 minutes. We did some more mall wandering at Crate and Barrel - LOVE it! We waited about half an hour just to be on the safe side. Any of you calculating the time? Yep, we're at the 2 hour mark! If anyone knows me, you know I'm starting to get a little grouchy because it's closing in on 7:00 and I haven't eaten since 12. NOT GOOD! We push our way through the crowd that's even more packed now and the hostess tells us that they still don't have any pagers. God love my boyfriend for using his brain. We ask where our name is on the list to figure out how much more we have to wait. She asks for our name and gets this funny look on her face. She tells us to just stay here and listen for our names. Not more than 2 minutes pass and our name gets called. Any of you know what happened?! Yep, we didn't have a pager so our name had gotten skipped. But, it's all good! We got sat and had an amazing dinner and dessert [Chocolate Peanut Butter Cookie Dough Cheesecake!] As we left, the front of the restaurant was still packed and we heard people being quoted about 3 hours to get a table - YIKES!

Anyways, we were exhausted after the experience so we headed back to Muncie and just hung out the rest of the night. Regardless of all that happened, it was an AMAZING day!

I know people are getting antsy, so here are some pictures because all I hear is that people want to see more Tyler. Haha! :)

Love you!
cj.

after we got back - it was a LONG day!
Tyler enjoyed the cheesecake! [Chocolate Peanut Butter Cookie Dough - SO good!]
Tyler doesn't like whip cream - so I took care of it! :)

...snow snow go away...

ugh. this snow is NO good. 10 inches last week and about 2 today. enough is enough! :)

anyways, i was told by someone special that i needed to update this about a very specific topic....we'll get there eventually, but i'll give you an update.

school has started. i only have 5 classes this semester, so it's not too rough. the workload in my classes is starting to pick up, which is good. i definitely need to work on procrastinating though. i'm starting the process of completing the steps to graduate with departmental honors, which is extremely exciting! it's hard being back on campus not teaching. i'd rather be out there teaching so i guess it's a good thing that i know what i want.

hmm let's see besides classes, i've been busy with work and tyler. both take up a good amount of time. :) i'm working at the same place on campus in our business building. basically i just sit there and do my homework unless they have work for me to do. however, it pays the bills so i guess that's all that matters. i should be more grateful that i have a job right now. and now onto tyler. he wants to be mentioned, because he thinks that no one knows about him....well, here you go honey! things are going well with us. it's nice for both of us to be back on campus closer than what we were in indy. tyler enjoys that i've been practicing on being more like june cleaver. :) but, i must say that it's nice to be able to hang out with someone all the time! there ya go sweetie, was that enough for you!? haha.

alright, i'll be back in a few weeks with an update.
but for now, let me tell ya.....only about 30 days until spring break!!! yay!!! :)

love you,
cj.
